HTC announces Bolt for global audience, calls it 10 Evo

first_imgAs expected, HTC on Tuesday announced the global variant of the recently launched Bolt smartphone. As expected, HTC is calling it the HTC 10 Evo. The HTC 10 Evo ships with all-familiar specs, but without the pricing and availability details, for now. These will, of course, vary from region to region. The HTC 10 Evo looks a lot like the company’s flagship phone, the HTC 10. It shares the HTC 10’s all-familiar chamfers, but misses out on a 3.5mm audio jack. The company will be shipping a USB Type-C dongle in the box, thankfully. Also, the HTC 10 Evo is the company’s first all-metal phone to come with IP57 certification which makes it dust and water resistant. The phone however ships with dated hardware: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 under the hood coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is further expandable via microSD card slot. The HTC 10 Evo comes with a 5.5-inch QuadHD screen and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The 4G LTE capable phone is backed by a 3,200 mAh battery and supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology. It sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS alongside an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Bolt sells for $600 in the US, which roughly translates to Rs 40,911.In another news, HTC is likely to launch the Desire 10 Pro in India on November 24. The company had recently launched the Desire 10 Lifestyle here at a price of Rs 15,990. Both the Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle were launched globally in September. We will have to wait and watch whether the launch event would see some kind of announcement related to the HTC 10 Evo as well. advertisementAlso Read: HTC 10 review: One and only HTC phone that you should buylast_img read more
