Blacks boosted by reduced loss

first_img BLACKS Leisure’s losses are narrowing as it seeks to attract suitors for the business.The retailer, which owns the Blacks and Millets brands, said the business was bouncing back after a tumultuous period. Like-for-like sales in its outdoor stores were down by six per cent, which it blamed on difficult trading conditions. But in the past two months, like-for-like sales have improved and are now down by only 3.5 per cent. It had reduced its operating losses from £8.7m to £7.1m in the first half of the year. The firm is courting suitors for the business.
