Pasadena Reports Seven New COVID-19 Cases as County Counts 1,275

No additional deaths were reported locally.Meanwhile, county health officials reported 61 new deaths and 1,275 new cases of the Coronavirus on Wednesday.To date, the county has identified 67,064 positive cases of COVID-19 across all areas of LA County, and a total of 2,768 deaths.The announcement comes just before the release of a modified health order and directives for the reopening of additional businesses.On Friday, June 12 the health officer order will allow for the following sectors to reopen once they implement the required protocols for infection control and distancing:Gyms and fitness facilitiesPro-league arenas without live audiencesDay campsMuseums, galleries, zoos and aquariumsCampgrounds, RV parks and outdoor recreationMusic, film and television productionHotels for leisure travelAs with all businesses that are permitted to reopen, the Health Officer Order contains protocols for reopening to ensure it is done as safely as possible for employees, customers and residents. Employees and visitors to these businesses will need to wear a cloth face covering when around other people and practice physical distancing of at least six feet at all times.“As more spaces reopen, it is so important for all of us – businesses and residents – to follow directives and to do our part to keep everyone as safe as possible. This is crucial if we are to reopen without creating huge increases in cases, hospitalizations and deaths from COVID-19. These actions save lives,” said Barbara Ferrer, director of Public Health.
