first_img Police arrest boyfriend in stabbing of his girlfriend at Dixie Square Apartments Twitter Twitter WhatsApp Facebook Raymond Harris A man who police say violated a protective order and stabbed his girlfriend several times in the neck, chest and stomach has been charged by the Odessa Police Department.Police were called around 5:12 p.m. Thursday to the Dixie Square Apartments, 222 N. Dixie Blvd., about an 18-year-old stabbing victim, an OPD news release stated.Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, 18-year-old Alina Castillo, who was taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury. MCH Spokesman Rhonda Lewallen said Castillo was in good condition as of Friday afternoon.The release stated the victim’s boyfriend, 20-year-old Raymond Harris, followed the victim to her apartment from the bus stop, and after getting into an argument, stabbed her several times in the neck, chest and stomach area with a knife.Harris fled the scene, but was located by officers in the 3600 block of East 29th Street and later admitted to stabbing his girlfriend to detectives, the release stated. Harris had previously been arrested on Jan. 26 for assaulting his girlfriend and had an emergency protective order placed against him.Police charged Harris with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony, and violation of protective order, a third-degree felony.Jail records show Harris was taken to the Ector County Detention Center Friday and has two bonds totaling $275,000.
