The 2016 installment of “Fall Ball” has come to a close, after three nights of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead madness. The weekend saw the debut of an acoustic “Terrapin Suite” in the bowling lanes, special guest appearances from John Mayer, Chris Harford, and plenty of song debuts, as Joe Russo, Marco Benevento, Tom Hamilton, Dave Dreiwitz, and Scott Metzger once again showed their hometown crowd exactly why they are such a revered live band. Returning to their birthplace always brings a sense of comfortability for the Grateful Dead enthusiasts, but also an opportunity to expand on their already-adored interpretations.Thank to taper quinfolk, you can enjoy all three nights of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead in the full show audios below:10/6/16:Set 1:Jam ->Good Morning Little School Girl @ (SM) ->Birdsong (TH) ->St. Stephen # (All) ->Fortune Teller $ (All) ->Morning Dew Jam % ->I Know You Rider ^ -> (All)Jack Straw & (SM/TH)So Long Jerry ++ (DD)Acoustic Mini Set (On the Bowling Lanes Stage)Candyman * (TH)The Race Is On + (SM)It Must Have Been The Roses * (TH)Uncle John’s Band * (All)Set II:Silvio @@ (SM) ->Wharf Rat ## (TH/All) ->Loser $$(TH) ->King Bee %% (SM)Unbroken Chain ^^ (JR) >Here Comes Sunshine (TH) ->Playing In The Band && (SM)E: Marco Solo ** ->Werewolves Of London (MB)10/7/16:Set I:Jam ->Tough Mama>Good Lovin’Dark Star>Greatest Story Ever ToldSo Many RoadsCassidyAcoustic:Jack-A-RoeDark HollowSet II With John Mayer:Cryptical Enevelopment>The Other One>Cryptical Enevelopment>New Speedway BoogieKing Solomon’s MarblesLet It GrowTouch Of GrayQuinn The Eskimo10/8/16Set 1:Blues for Allah jam >Eyes of the World >Minglewood BluesThe Wheel >Ramble On RoseMama TriedMorning DewSet II:Crazy Fingers >Truckin >OtherOne>TruckinMagnificent Sanctuary Band >Help on the Way >Slipknot >Estimated >Hippie Dream*E:He Was A Friend of Mine**Not Fade Away* w/ Chris Harford** Acoustic and quietFor fans of Joe Russo and Scott Metzger, be sure to catch them with Robert Walter and Andy Hess at this year’s Brooklyn Comes Alive.
