first_imgBianchi hails ex-Man City powerbrokers Shinawatra, Erikssonby Paul Vegas4 days agoSend to a friendShare the loveFormer Manchester City striker Rolando Bianchi says he values his spell in England. The former Torino centre-forward played for City during the Thaksin Shinawatra era.He told TMW: “Shinawatra wanted to win, he didn’t want to waste time. Then he had his problems at home and was forced to sell. I knew City would grow.”I always liked him, he was always present with us when he was in Manchester, he didn’t miss anything, he treated us like a god. We were envied, the player had a single room in retreat, difficult to see in football. So the athletes can self-manage, can rest, they are small but fundamental things.”On playing for Sven-Goran Eriksson, he added: “Very great coach, able to manage the players, he made you have fun. He had an important elegance, he was old-fashioned.” About the authorPaul VegasShare the loveHave your saylast_img read more

Here is the video, in a tweet from Franklin.Really proud of @VTW21 -your attitude & hard work earned this. Great representation of the blue & white. #PSUnrivaled http://t.co/6OfW2MDEaZ— James Franklin (@coachjfranklin) April 28, 2015Franklin spoke more about Walker in a Penn State press release about the move.Junior Von Walker (Mill Hall, Pa.) has made the most of his time as a run-on linebacker for the Penn State football team. That hard work has culminated in a scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year by head coach James Franklin this week. “Von Walker is the example of everything that represents Penn State football,” Franklin said. “He is blue collar, hard-nosed, works his butt off day in and day out and always has positive energy at practice. He has improved as much as anybody on our team since we arrived. Make no mistake about it, I am not giving Von a scholarship, he has earned this full scholarship.”These videos are always very touching, and it is clear that Walker has the full respect of his teammates and coaches, based on many of the tweets that rolled in on Monday.Big S/O to my best friend @VTW21 on EARNING that full ride today baby. Ohio State QB’s J.T. Barrett And Stephen Collier Got Some Extra Throwing In Today With Buckeye WRs

Barrett #16 of the Ohio State Buckeyes celebrates after rushing for a fourth quarter touchdown against the Michigan Wolverines at Michigan Stadium on November 28, 2015 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)Just because it looks like Braxton Miller won’t be playing quarterback this season for the Buckeyes, doesn’t mean Ohio State’s other QB’s can take things easy. There’s still a quarterback competition to win and a national championship to defend, and sophomore J.T. Barrett, the primary starter last season, certainly knows that. That’s probably why Barrett and fellow quarterback Stephen Collier spent some free time today throwing with wide receivers Johnnie Dixon, Parris Campbell and Noah Brown. That Ohio State offense will be scary this season, no matter who is at the controls.last_img read more
